US Ambassador H.E Meg Whitman Visits the Ministry

The Cabinet Secretary for Roads and Transport Hon Kipchumba Murkomen today hosted the US Ambassador to Kenya H.E. Ambassador Meg Whitman in his office at Transcom House, Nairobi.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss available opportunities for cooperation between Kenya and the United States.

Kenya and the USA have long-standing bilateral relations that have resulted in closer partnerships in infrastructure development, health, education, environmental conservation, agriculture, security, technology transfer, and tourism.

The CS said that the government was working on further strengthening their bilateral engagements and  working closely with the United States Government and private investors for the benefit of both countries.

He thanked the ambassador for being at the forefront in championing the Kenyan agenda locally and internationally as a way of encouraging more companies to invest in Kenya.

 Present was the Principal Secretary for Roads Eng. Joseph Mbugua.
